Navitas is a global education provider founded in 1994 by Rod Jones and Peter Larsen in Perth, Western Australia, where it is still headquartered. It pioneered the university pathway model, opening its first college with Edith Cowan University. Today it has 100+ colleges and campuses in 18 countries, partnerships with 38 universities and around 60,000 students a year.
Navitas brought the pathway model to the UK in 2000 with the University of Hertfordshire and now runs pathway colleges with 10 UK universities. The colleges offer Foundation programmes for high-school graduates, International Year One (the first year of a bachelor’s degree), Pre-Master’s programmes for graduates, and pre-sessional English; most programmes last one to three semesters.
Students who pass their programme and meet the progression requirements continue to their chosen degree at the partner university: Foundation leads to year one of a bachelor’s degree, International Year One to year two, and Pre-Master’s to a master’s degree. Entry requirements and fees vary by college; two-semester Foundation programmes start at £14,000 for 2026/27.
